Lynn Scherler

Regional Agribusiness Banking Group
Lynn Scherler is responsible for managing the agribusiness lending operations of CoBank’s Southern Region. The region includes CoBank’s Lubbock and Wichita banking centers, which support agribusiness customers in Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico.
Mr. Scherler’s team specializes in serving the needs of agricultural cooperatives and other commercial agribusinesses that process, market, finance, transport and export agricultural commodities. The majority of these customers are in the livestock, cotton, grain and farm supply industries. Regional Agribusiness also supports the fruit, nut and vegetable, dairy, and biofuels industries, as well as credit and finance companies. He also oversees and coordinates efforts with strategic Farm Credit relationships in the region. Mr. Scherler is based in Denver, Colorado, and is a member of the bank’s Senior Leadership Team.
Mr. Scherler began his lending career with Farm Credit Services of Southeast Colorado. Subsequently he served as a commercial lender with Herring National Bank in Amarillo, Texas. Since joining CoBank in 2001, Mr. Scherler has held various roles within the bank, including vice president in CoBank’s Credit Approvals & Administration Group and regional vice president for CoBank’s banking center in Lubbock, Texas.
Mr. Scherler earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and applied economics from Texas Tech University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
