John C. Holsey
Deputy Chief Banking Officer

John Holsey is CoBank’s deputy chief banking officer. Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Holsey served as executive vice president of the bank’s Global Financial Services Group, which included corporate finance, international banking and trade finance, capital markets and non-credit services.

Mr. Holsey is a member of the Management Executive Committee, Asset/Liability Committee, Loan Committee and Country Risk Committee. Additionally, he serves on the board of directors of the National Cooperative Business Association.

Prior to joining CoBank, Mr. Holsey was executive vice president with HSBC Bank USA, part of the HSBC Group, which is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations. Mr. Holsey has 38 years of domestic and international banking experience, 17 of which were with HSBC. He served in a variety of management and credit positions at HSBC, both in New York and Hong Kong, which included managing corporate banking relationship teams and working with large global agribusiness companies in Asia, Europe, Australia and the United States. Mr. Holsey also spent 10 years in international banking with PNC Bank in London and the United States.

Mr. Holsey earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Fairfield University in Connecticut. He received his master’s in business administration from Boston University.
