David D. Janish
Chief Operations Officer – Wichita

As Chief Operations Officer for CoBank’s Wichita banking center, Dave Janish manages several key CoBank functions, including its Treasury and Controllers departments.  In addition, he oversees a number of operational areas in Wichita.  Mr. Janish joined the CoBank leadership team upon completion of the CoBank – U.S. AgBank merger.  Prior to assuming this role he served as senior vice president of Finance for U.S. AgBank.

A more than 30-year veteran of the Farm Credit System, Mr. Janish has served in a variety of corporate management, business services and information technology roles in organizations such as  Farm Credit Bank of Wichita, Farm Credit Corporation of America and Farm Credit Council Services.  Prior to joining U.S. AgBank, he was president and CEO of AgVantis, Inc., a technology and business services organization serving Farm Credit associations and banks. 

Mr. Janish was raised on a diversified livestock, row crop and grain operation near Kimball, South Dakota. He received bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and computer science from the University of South Dakota, and an MBA in finance from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.  He is based in Wichita, Kansas.
