Candace A. Roper
Senior Vice President
Electric Distribution Banking Division
As senior vice president for CoBank’s Electric Distribution Banking Division, Candace Roper oversees relationship management, marketing and credit administration for rural electric distribution cooperatives across the country. She is a member of CoBank’s Senior Leadership Team.
Ms. Roper joined CoBank in 1990 and has served in a variety of leadership roles with the organization. She spent 15 years in CoBank’s International Banking Division, including four years based in Singapore. She later managed the bank’s government relations function in Washington, D.C. Most recently, she has overseen CoBank’s Knowledge Exchange Division, which produces industry research and facilitates the exchange of marketplace knowledge between the bank and its customers. Prior to joining CoBank, Ms. Roper managed country risk analysis for the Bank of New England (now Bank of America) in Boston.
Ms. Roper holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Mount Holyoke College and a master’s in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Since 2001, Ms. Roper has served on the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Trade for the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.
